Three customers will be able to enjoy roaming at no extra cost in 42 countries from September with the addition of 24 new destinations to Feel At Home.

The new countries include popular destinations like Germany, Greece and Poland. Feel At Home is available to Three’s customers no matter when they travel and now covers more than 80% of the trips made by customers.

Three remains the UK’s No. 1 network for data. Customers are now using 5.4GB of data a month on average following the continued rollout of 4G on the network.

The introduction of 800MHz and the rollout of 4G Super-Voice have dramatically improved indoor coverage for Three customers. This is the first time Three has been able to use low-frequency spectrum and it provides a vital platform to compete on coverage with other networks.

Indoor coverage has increased from 80% in June 2013 to 92% in June 2016, despite 800MHz spectrum only being rolled out to 13% of the network. We expect indoor coverage to increase to 95% by the end of the year, meaning an additional 4 million people will have been able to access Three’s network indoors in 2016.

Great customer benefits like Feel At Home and a broad range of plans have ensured Three customers remain the happiest of any operator. Three drives the least complaints to Ofcom and has the highest customer net promoter score of all the mobile operators.

Key financial results in the first six months of 2016:

Dave Dyson, Chief Executive, said: “I am proud that our customers are more willing to recommend us than those of any other operator and we will continue to build a modern mobile business that delivers what today’s customers need.  I want to continue to lead the industry on mobile data usage and network reliability and my immediate focus is securing more spectrum which will allow us to gain further scale and become a stronger influence on the industry.”

Richard Woodward, Chief Financial Officer, said: “We are absolutely focused on giving our customers the best possible mobile experience and the expansion of Feel At Home to cover more than 80% of customer trips is clear evidence of this. As a result customers are staying with us longer, recommending us to their family and friends and choosing to spend more.”
